Power meter
bidding union system collapses...A signal of infinite competition?
Seochang Telecommunications Co.,
Ltd. swept up Ea-type regional restricted quantity.
Nuri Telecom, G-type
monopolization...First annual unit price business order
Dongwoo Electro-Mechanics,
Shinseong Industrial Complex, and Moim Stone's new companies are making
strides.
The annual unit price bidding for
KEPCO's electricity meter, which took place on the 24th, was held for the first
time after the union system collapsed. The photo has nothing to do with the
specific facts of the article.
This year's electricity meter
bidding union system collapsed for the first time in all items.
In particular, for the first time
since KEPCO's annual unit price bid was implemented in 2016, the union system
was broken for the residential (Ea-type) electronic wattmeter.
The electric power meter for
shopping malls and factories (G-type)¡¯s union bidding system had already
collapsed last year, and this year was also held in an individual competition
method.
According to KEPCO, the priority
bidder for the annual unit price bid of the electronic wattmeter worth a total
of 106.8 billion won (1.84 million units) was decided on the 24th. Unless there
is a problem with the bidding qualification, the priority negotiator is
expected to win the project.
¡ß Seochang Telecommunications Ea
Type was swept away, but the 'curse of the winner' was swept away.
As for the Ea (Advanced-E) type
(1.4 million units), which attracted attention with the largest volume of
business, Seochang Telecommunications secured the first place in both general
and regional restrictions.
It has won a total of 336,000
orders (estimated price of 5.6 billion won) and has regained its status as a
manufacturer of electricity meters.
It cannot just be good news. As the
union system collapsed for the first time this year, the winning bid price of
Ea Type also halved compared to last year. This is why there are concerns that
it may fall into a "winner's curse" due to intense competition.
Some observers say that the union
system may no longer have a place to stand as even the Ea type is carried out
in an individual competition manner. As the number of new companies is expected
to increase further, industry experts say that bidding for a wattmeter is
likely to reach infinite
price competition in the future.
A total of 41 companies participated in Ea-type
general units (112 million units) competition and followings were selected as the
priority bidders: ¡ãDISIS (4170 won, 56,000 units, including VAT) ¡ã Seochang
Telecommunications (24,970 won, 224,000 units) ¡ã Powerpluscom (25,091, 224,000
units) ¡ã SGEM (25,816 won, 224,000 units) ¡ã Shinsung Electric Power Company
(225,000 won) ¡ã Dongwoo Electric Power Company (26,235 won, 168,000 units).
The notable companies are DISIS,
SGEM, Shinsung, and Dongwoo Electric, all of which entered the industry for the
first time.
According to industries on the
25th, DISIS spent 4,170 won, less than half of its original cost, but the industry
believes that it did not put the last digit '0'. DISIS applied for the contract
waiver to KEPCO on the 26th, but the cancellation of the contract was not clear
until on the 29th. KEPCO said they will decide whether to cancel the contract
or not after review.
¡ßNuri Telecom monopolizes G-type with its
subsidiaries...First annual unit price business order
The winner of the G-type bid is
Nuri Telecom. Nuri Telecom won the first and second place alongside its
subsidiary, Moim Stone, raising the possibility of winning the business for the
first time in bidding held in an individual competition method. G-type also has
a lower winning bid than last year, raising concerns about side effects fr|om
overheated competition.
¡ã Poongsan Electric Co.
LTD.(32,890 won, 19,200 units) ¡ã Shinhan Jungmil (38,335
won, 5,000 units) ¡ã Sundo Electric (45,990 won, 7,800 units) were selected as
priority bidders with single phase competition (32,000 units).
In the case of G-type regional restrictions,
Fiestech (41,712 won, 32,000 units), Moim Stone (41,800 won, 32,000 units), and
Nuri Telecom (42,350 won, 16,000 units) won the bid.
In the case of the single phase, Wizit Energy
(39,900 won, 2,400 units), P&C Tech (49,900 won, 3,000 units), and
Cheonilgyejeon (41,030 won, 2,600 units) won the bidding.
